New Year Futsal Tournament 2016

Sat Jan 2nd / Sun Jan 3rd

All games played on 1 day for each division.

You tell us which day you can play!

We expect to have multiple divisions at most age groups so just tell us your teams age, gender, ability and availability when you register and we will place your team in a tighly competitive division on a day when you are available!

You get to see who you'll be playing against before you pay!

You do not pay when you register - you pay after registration closes and we post the draft divisions so you get to see who you'll be playing against before you need to pay anything!

i.e. It's all about YOU!

You control WHEN you'll play and you get to see WHO you'll be playing against before you have to pay - this is the way all tournaments should be!

We only have room for teams to fill the TBD slots below but not everyone has paid yet which means teams may be dropped so if you want to get in and the division looks full, sign up anyway to get on the wait list as there is still a good chance we'd be able to add you.

You tell us which day(s)/date(s) work for you and we will schedule your games to suit.

Reschedules after the schedule is posted are allowed BUT they cost the requesting team $20 for each reschedule request. This is to reduce churn after the schedule is posted and encourage everyone to get their schedule requests in BEFORE we start scheduling.

Come be a part of Naperville Yard’s 2015/2016 Youth Travel Indoor Soccer Leagues!

We have brand new state-of-the-art turf fields and we want you to be a part of the competition.

* Games are 43min in length, played on boardless fields.

* Boys and Girls Divisions U8-U18, A&B divisions for most age groups.

* Boys play on Saturdays, Girls play on Sundays—there may be one game scheduled on a different day due to holidays.

* Games will generally be played weekly between 7:30am-9:00pm. We try to schedule U8-U13 in the morning and early afternoon and U14-U18 in the late afternoon and evening.

* The league is 10 regular season games (plus 2 potential playoff games = 12 games) and runs January-March. Playoffs will be at the end of March.

* For U8-U18, the top 4 teams in each division will compete in single elimination playoffs. Trophies will be awarded to the Top 2 teams in each division.

* Teams must fill out the Team Roster/Waiver and submit that with copies of the players NISL/IWSL cards prior to the start of the session. Spots are not guaranteed until the deposit is received.

Why Play Futsal?


*	These soccer players: and almost every other FIFA Ballon D'Or winner in the past 20 years grew up playing Futsal and credits Futsal with developing the soccer skills that led FIFA to acknowledge them as the Worlds best players.

*	Futsal is the only small-sided soccer format recommended by FIFA and governed by FIFA Laws Of The Game.

*	You touch the ball 6-to-10 times more in futsal than you do in 11v11 soccer for the same playing time. Just look at how much space one player occupies on an 11v11 field vs a futsal court: and consider that not only is the ball spending far more time between players in 11v11, but that the time the ball is in posession of the players is divided between 20 field players in 11v11 but only 8 in futsal.

*	Futsal is a minimal contact version of soccer so it relies entirely on skill and has far less risk of injury compared to other soccer formats.
